We are delighted to announce the appointment of Radoslaw (Radek) Ejsmont as a Senior Research Scientist in Synovance! Radek has over fifteen years of experience in Molecular Genetics, Synthetic Biology, Cell Biology, and Project Management. In his latest position, Radek was a research group leader at the Center for Research and Interdisciplinarity (CRI) in Paris. His team’s work focused on developing a set of Synthetic Biology tools for the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. Previously he held positions of Senior Research Scientist at the ICM – Brain and Spine Institute, Paris, and at the VIB – Flemish Institute of Biotechnology, Leuven, Belgium. In addition to his molecular biology skills, Radek has extensive experience in data science and machine learning and is passionate about laboratory automation.
Radek holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden, Germany. With his unique interdisciplinary skills, Radek will be in charge of our Molecular Biology team, will accelerate the further development of our Synthetic Genomic technologies, and assist the scale-up of our pilot production.
